Our method
With our unique method Dream! Hack! Build! we unleash the power of citizen-driven innovation through hackathons.
The Dream! Hack! Build! framework is central to our approach to citizen-driven innovation through hackathons.
Dream! is the initial phase where participants co-create diverse and relevant challenges through a Dream campaign. This period can last from a few days to a year, allowing extensive community input that shapes the hackathon’s direction. Here, participants share their visions for the future, connecting deeply with the project and providing valuable insights that organizational leaders might overlook.
Hack! is where these pre-crafted challenges come to life. Participants, organized into teams, tackle these challenges during the hackathon. Their efforts are aligned with real-world needs, supported by mentorship and collaboration with partners and jury members. This not only fosters a dynamic environment for innovation but also builds new networks and potential future collaborations.
Build! is the final phase where winning ideas from the hackathon are developed into viable solutions through a six-month acceleration program, Build for Earth. This phase supports winners and enriches the broader hackathon community, highlighting the tangible outcomes of our events and the effectiveness of citizen-driven innovation in promoting sustainability.
