Peace Parks Foundation

About us

Peace Parks Foundation was founded by Nelson Mandela, HRH Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands and Dr Anton Rupert in 1997 to facilitate the establishment of peace parks, or transfrontier conservation areas, in southern Africa. Peace Parks Foundation recognizes the importance of conserving and developing areas, corridors and keystone species, regardless of political boundaries, to secure biodiversity conservation, which in turn is the most important foundation to ensure maintained, healthy and functional ecosystems – essential for the survival of all fauna and flora on the earth, including man.

Why we're joining Hack for Earth

We are happy to be on board. Hack for Earth Foundation is a great global platform for solving real problems in line with Agenda 2030, says Helena Johnzon Dahl, Peace Parks Foundation Sweden. We are looking forward to seeing people and organizations all over the world join forces to contribute to the 17 global goals. We love how Hack for Earth Foundation will make it possible for everyone to be part of the hackathon by digitally bringing the Expo2020 to all citizens of the world.
